Private - when it comes to really getting to know isadora, she is rather shy. she doesn’t like to talk about herself at all and would rather keep things more professional. she rarely does give any information about herself. most of it is to keep herself protected from other people due to the fact that she does not trust anyone. that being said, isadora has major trust issues stemming from her mother’s murder when she was thirteen years old.
Independent - over the years, isadora has become quite self sufficient. she doesn’t really count on anyone but herself when things really matter. she is very capable of taking care of herself and surviving. and for that reason she is extremely driven to learn how to defend herself and continue to learn. she is capable in martial arts- from her travels as well as in roman combat training. she enjoys fighting with a sword the most, however she is also able to use a spear decently enough. another reason isadora is driven is because she is determined to keep people she cares about safe. she is incredibly loyal and would never turn on anyone.
Leader - although isadora isn’t much of the sharing type, or at least isn’t at the moment, she is quite capable of giving direction. she doesn’t get close to people exactly, but she does a fair job at judging people’s loyalties and intentions as well. she isn’t afraid to be stern or speak up when she thinks something is amiss.
Self-Hating - isadora is a bit pessimistic. she doesn’t really believe that people have the best intentions. she thinks the glass is half empty and often forgets to hope for things. she dislikes herself a lot perhaps because she thought she could have protected her family, but failed to do so, she blames herself.
Complex - being hard to get to know means that isadora doesn’t have all that many friends or people she trusts, however it is not impossible. people who really talk to isadora- often gain her trust slowly but surely. it will take a very long time for her to be able to trust anyone completely and fully, however she wants to try to do so, no matter how difficult it may be for her. on the other hand she is also afraid that these people she allows in will either hurt her or she will lose them.
Teamwork - isadora is very much roman as she appreciates working as a team. she does not not care about who she is fighting with, as long as they get the job done and work together. of course trust is something that must be established as well which is always an issue with isadora. it is easier to trust that people will do things for the team rather than to trust them with personal information, which perhaps is why she is able to work with others fairly well. she does her part and gets frustrated when others don’t do the same.
Vengeful - if you’ve done wrong and isadora knows it, she won’t likely forgive you. she holds grudges for a long time and its nearly impossible for anyone to break it. for instance, isadora wasn’t always hateful towards the greeks, but after the destruction of her home, she wants all of them gone.

History
[attr="class","section"]
Isadora was born in Monterey, California. Her mother, Joanna was a marine biologist who worked for the aquarium there. Perhaps it was natural that she should’ve met Neptune, the god of the seas. When Isadora was three months old, Neptune left Joanna and the two were forced to face the world alone, Isadora without a father. When Isadora was two, Joanna received an invitation to travel aboard a sailboat, “Queen Scalacia”, and gather information about the ocean with a crew of 5 others. The others included: Walter, Peter, Lance, Kelsey and Maria. Naturally, the other crew members became Isadora’s family. The boat was of course named to appease Neptune’s wife so that perhaps she would show less animosity towards Isadora.
Growing up, Isadora travelled the world. She stopped in many places in her travels and learned how to speak several languages after extended stays in the areas. She learned how to speak Italian, Greek, some Japanese and very little Mandarin. As a child she spent a lot of time swimming. She occasionally went with her mother in the water, but was never allowed to dive until she was eight. However, that never stopped a curious girl from wandering out at night.
Joanna knew who Isadora’s father was and she wasn’t overly concerned about Isadora swimming in the ocean partially because she believed that Neptune wouldn’t allow his daughter to be harmed while in his domain. The other sea deities were not so hostile, though they did try to have some fun, occasionally making odd things happen surrounding the Isadora. Isadora began communicating with the sea life from a small age. She loved talking to them and having friends constantly. They were a nice relief to the boring adults.
Every time that Isadora came to a new place, she was sent to a school on the land to interact with others her age. During the times that she was away, sailing to the next spot, Isadora was tough by her mother and the rest of the crew.
The Porters spent a lot of their time in Australia as well as New Zealand. At the age of seven, Isadora discovered her ability to move water. When her mother found out, she was told that she should not let other people see her doing such things. However, being a curious child, Isadora continued to experiment with the ability. Oftentimes she would go and look at the reef with her mother and learn all about the ocean animals- at least from the mortal point of view. The others on the Queen Salacia taught her about boats, and other about oceanography and some about the weather. Oftentimes, Isadora would brush them off and continue to play with shells and other little trinkets.
Finally, just after Isadora turned thirteen, they sailed back toward the United States. Isadora was sent to a school in Seattle, Washington. Joanna meant for Isadora to remain there for her high school career. Isadora was in eighth grade when this all happened. She joined swim team and was easily one of the better swimmers in the school. There were several others who didn’t approve of Isadora since she was the new girl. They didn’t even give her a chance. Most of the time Isadora learned to ignore the other girls and keep to herself. She was friendly but quiet enough at the time. She was more of an easy truster back then. She made several friends by the middle of the year: Tamsin and Kimiko.
The three ignored most of the other kids in school- particularly three other rather rude girls: Marlene, Catherine and April. Isadora was never certain, but there always seemed like there was just something inherent about the three of them that she didn’t like.
One day in March, Isadora was returning to the houseboat from school. There was something wrong. The door was swung open and deep gashes in the wood ran down the side of the doorframe. When the daughter of Neptune entered, she was faced with the sight of her mother on the floor, blood pooling around her body. The other five members of her ‘family’ were lying about in various parts of the house. It was evident that something had attacked them all. Isadora ran back to her mother, who was barely conscious but also fading fast. She whispered something about California and with that took her last breath. Isadora didn’t know what to do. Should she call the police? Or perhaps she should just make a run for it. Before she could really decide, she realized that the killer was still there. It was a snakelike woman- a Scythian Dracaena, Isadora would later learn.
Isadora tried to run, but only made it to the outer deck before the woman was able to reach her. “Die, half blood sssspawn,” the woman hissed. She tried to punch the woman but missed. Remembering that she could use the water, Isadora made a wave like motion with her hand and the water responded, and came crashing down on the demonic woman. She managed to get away, but she was lost and didn’t have a family, or at least not one that she really knew. Isadora knew that her mom was from California and so she made her way down south.
One day, Isadora was in the Bay Area near San Francisco, and that was when she found the wolf house and the wolf goddess, Lupa. Isadora learned that she was a roman demigod, and begin training for the leigons. She was only fourteen, but she was clever and strong after working on a boat her whole life. Isadora also learned that most of the Romans were not all that keen on the sea god, Neptune.
After she learned as well as she could with the she-wolf, Isadora was sent to Camp Jupiter. She was there for a while, but often kept her parentage a secret as she knew that most of the others disliked the god since they’d thought a legacy of his had created a massive earthquake. She always enjoyed working with the team, however finding trust in her teammates was always difficult and took time. Once they earned her trust however, they were easily a strong team. During the second titan war, Isadora fought to strike down Mt. Orthys. When the greeks came to destroy her camp, she sought revenge. She hated the lot of them, all the greeks and of course the titans for destroying her home.

Powers & Abilities
[attr="class","section"]
Being a child of the sea god comes with its own perks, Water is a friend and they can use it in just about any way that you could imagine right down to the healing of themselves. Hydrokinesis is the ability to manipulate water, many child of the sea control this ability however only some know how to truly harness its powers. Remember water is a friend and it will make you stronger.
Isadora has been using this ability for a long time. She is very adept at moving the water with her mind so much so that she doesn’t necessarily need to use a hand motion or even stare at the water, rather it moves with her freely, like an extension of herself. However, for moving large waves, she does need to either look or make some sort of hand movement, also in order for her to mold water into “shapes” she has to have some concentration, depending on the detail she is aiming for.
Being a child of the sea god some of his children have been gifted with control of the earth, they can cause minor earthquakes, landslides, and even make the earth move under your feet. This power comes in handy when it comes to needed to shake things up.
This is an ability that Isadora has not really developed. She’s spent most of her time on the water and so the chances of her triggering this ability was lower. This ability manifests the most when Isadora is afraid or something or surprised. When she gains more control over this ability, she will be able to intentionally cause the ground to move in specific areas and shake a small hill, obviously not so much that it crumbles, but enough to make people stumble and fall.
Being the god of the storms and such his children have a chance to be gifted the ability of weather manipulation. There is not a lot of people who would want to mess with the god of seas child with this ability.
This ability was a bit of a surprise to Isadora, when she first discovered the ability she was perhaps eleven years old. It happened in her sleep when she was having a nightmare. While living on the boat, she created a mini storm. However, creating one consciously takes concentration and patience. She has yet to gain complete control over this ability. At the moment she is merely able to make slight shifts. Over time she should be able to summon storm clouds, provided she is able to concentrate.
Children of Neptune are naturally gifted with the abilities to breathe underwater, withstand the pressures of the ocean, the ability to speak to horses, aquatic lordship over sea life, being stronger in the water, and the ability to heal using the water.
Isadora has been swimming for as long as she can remember- with her mother. Sometimes she snuck off to go swimming without her at night. She has been able to communicate with sea animals ever since she can remember.
